The Art Tour is a three-day studio tour of artists’ live/work spaces and impromptu gallery showings in local shops that supports Toronto's West End Art Collective. Since the first year in 1998, The Art Tour has grown in popularity, attracting the best local artists and art lovers from Toronto’s west end communities. The Art Tour is entirely artist run, which means it is funded by the artists and the generosity of local sponsors, including Frame It On Bloor.

Since 2016, we have expanded beyond the annual Art Tour to become a full artist collective, producing art exhibitions throughout the year, including an outdoor show at the Junction Solstice Celebration, and a series of group exhibitions in galleries across Toronto. Frame It On Bloor was excited to be the Framing Partner for the second annual In House Benefit Art Show. Paperhouse Studio collaborated with eight emerging and established artists to create new work exploring contemporary approaches to working with handmade paper. These artists, whose practices feature an emphasis on materiality and process, took to working with handmade paper in a myriad of different ways. The resulting works highlight strong interconnections between notions of labour and temporality, contextualized in relation to personal histories, geologic time, and commonplace objects. To find out more details about the event or to see the artists work, check out In House A Benefit Show website.

Paperhouse Studio is an experimental arts studio rooted in paper as the medium in Toronto. We offer educational programs, artist projects, and outreach initiatives.
